S/H 1965 Ampeg USA Baby Bass

Wow, look what has made it to these shores!

The Ampeg Baby Bass is the original electric double bass design. Struggling to compete with Fender’s fretted bass revolution, Ampeg turned to tradition and came up with a lightweight (composite body) double bass.

The piezo-style pickup has a single volume and tone and brings gorgeous, warm tones. This one is in excellent condition (spending most of its life in Havana, Cuba) and comes with a padded gig bag. Some fret markers have been added but have been made with removable marker. Action is great and the scroll top is just beautiful.
