S/H 2020 Hofner 500/1 Cavern Bass, Sunburst

This lovely 2020 German-made Hofner Cavern bass has hardly been touched, comes with original documentation and a hard case. Named the 'Cavern' for being synonymous with Macca's days in the famous basement club, this iteration of the Violin bass has a chunkier sound, primarily due to the two pickups being positioned close to the neck. 

The bass is constructed from beautifully chosen maple and is accompanied by a deep neck profile (rosewood board) and is strung with flatwounds. The Violin bass is also an entirely hollow instrument, so the combination of pickup position, string choice and skilled craftsmanship create an inimitable sound - one that can take you, if you so wish, beyond Beatles territory.

All original (previous owner has chosen to apply two genuine Hofner decals on the body) and ready for anything.
